Surfing Waves

Hi guys,

I've a funboard 6'4" and 2.5" thick. I'm 160cm and about 60kg. I would like to know if I'm able to duck dive with my funboard in the wave about 3-4 feet waves?

Forget theory , it is a skill, go out and duck dive

That's the question.

My molded-epoxy NSP Fish is 6'4" x 20 7/8" x 2 9/16". So should be the same or even more float than yours. I am 5'2" ( 158cm ) and 125 lbs. ( 56kg ) and I can duck dive it.

What is interesting is you ask if you can duck dive it in 3-4 foot waves. What about 1-2 foot waves ? Hmmmmm.......

Thing is I find it easier to duck dive in 3-4 foot waves than 1-2. ( of course all waves and situations aren't the same ) In 3-4 you paddle up the face and punch threw the narrow part almost horizontally. On a 1-2 it seems you have to dive deeper the whole base of the wave, because there's no face to paddle up on.

Question - What size boards have you duck dived ?

I'm practicing this to get ready for winter on my longboard.
