Hey up folks

Just joined the forum as I'm literally just learning. I know time in the water is the most valuable, but are there any instructional or other books to keep me going? Especially instructional. This forum is an awesome resource, but having a book to pick up when something pops into my mind would be great. Covering everything from waxing to waves.
Can't wait for my journey to continue.

Keep er lit
Si

There is lots of instructional stuff on this site. If you move your cursor over the button that says Learn to Surf at the top of the page there will be lots of options and if you go to the button that says Shop there will be books but books and instruction have limited utility since you have to surf a bit before you can understand the issues. I know there are books for more advances surfers that give instructions on how to do lots of things but for a beginner it's more about figuring out what you are doing then you can try to figure out if you are doing it wrong. It is difficult to be precise in surf lingo so having a friend who surfs or an instructor who can watch you is probably better than a book.
