I'm really good at long boarding. I know how to turtle roll very well. However, I also have a 5'8 fish and I don't know how to duck dive at all with it. I am 95 lbs, 14 years old. Can I turtle roll with it?

I used to turtle roll with my short board long ago so I figure why not? It's better than duck diving if you will be pounded anyway because it puts the board between you and the wave and takes the brunt of the pounding.

I turtle roll a shortboard occasionally if for one reason or another I don't think I'm going to make the duckdive. Works fine. It's a bit slower than a duckdive (for me at least), but if you're great at turtle rolling and rubbish at duckdiving, then go ahead and roll :D

100%. At 95lbs that is your best bet but I would wager by next year you will be duck diving that board like a pro.
