Hi guys,
I am fairly new to surfing and I haven't quite got the hang of it. I can pop up at home but I can't do it in the water plus I can't get up with some of the wave sizes. I have a 6 foot 2 single fin shortboard but I'm getting a new board soon. Any advice would help!!!

These two facts may be related.... :?

What new board are you getting? A 6'2 shortboard is not suitable for learning (unless you're about 11 years old and you weigh 30kg).

Jemmo you are not alone in the quest to stand up Drowningbitbybit is advising you well.
At the bottom of the page is a number of similar questions about popping up, have a good read.
If you want a little more help then your height weight and age may help help you to choose a suitable board.
Everything in surfing is a learned skill, I reckon no-one ever gets it first go.
Just have fun as often as possible it will happen

Thanks. I am getting a 6'8 NSP Funboard because they are apparently more stable.
