Hey guys!! So I have a 6 foot 8 inch board and I am 5 foot 7. I have a traction pad on the back of my board ad my foot is always an inch in front of it. Is my board too big for a traction pad? Or is it ok that my foot is in front?

Nope.

Depends on what you're doing. For going down the line, your foot will be fine there. If you really want to snap the board around, then your foot needs to go back onto that traction pad.

Hello Surfer 22,
Great advice from drowningbitbybit! I would definitely make sure you back foot is on the tail before doing any big turns or cutbacks and you will have much more success. I would also try getting your back foot back a little further in general and see how that feels.

Thanks guys!!! So if it does go in front should I just adjust it during riding? Or is there somthing wrong with my pop up?

Well, if you are good enough to adjust your food during your ride then go for it. I find making in ride adjustments ruins my ride, so I just do the best ride I can as I am.
Is there something wrong with your pop up? Do you pearl a lot, do you feet slide off the slides? If not, then your pop up is fine. It might just be a simple thing: spread your feet farther appart when you land from your popup, but don't change what's not broken.

Probably because you're popping up too far - pop straight into the classic surfers crouch, rather than standing straight up
