Justice, I'm curious about your reasoning in regard to getting a shorter short board at this stage, length has a bit to do with board qualities, but there is so much more that makes a board do its thing. Your previous post says where you are at in your knowledge of boards, so in order to answer your question what is it you looking for in going down another 3"? 7'9" to 7'6" probably not a lot and the length can be accommodated with changes in volume.
Post a picture of the board you have just bought and maybe a name or picture of what the next one you are thinking about.
IMO getting a stable surf education on one board in the beginning is the best way to go, but however you go it's OK, just some paths are easier than others.

One thing about justice in most democratic countries is they don't allow double jeopardy. o my advice one board at a time!

Justice,
only 6 days ago you inquired about epoxy resin boards v. polyester resin boards v. BIC board (viewtopic.php?f=20&t=18627). Here you are inquiring about 3 inch board length differences. Maybe it is simple curiosity and that can be healthy. However, your questions do reveal you are a stoked grom and that your BIC is just fine for a good while. Until you can catch each and every wave you want to catch and can turn and ride la la (diagonally along the wave face), you really don't need to change anything. Plus, longer is truly better at this point.
best regards,
billie

Wise words for you Justice. Take couple of breaths and go surfing. There's plenty of time for new boards.

thanks for your replies. I was just interested in a epoxy board that I saw but it only came in 7-6. I will stick with my board for a while. I feel like when I'm riding a wave in I can't get my board to turn with me. It's prob just me and I need to practice I read that epoxy boards were a good way to learn and grow but if you all think I should keep going with my bic and i can learn as well on my board I will stick with it. I did not buy any new board yet and I am going to keep at it with my board. Thanks again for your advice. You are all very nice and encouraging! Going out tomorrow!

That aside, I'm sure your advice would be to get as many boards as possible :D
