Surfing Waves

I'm new to surfing ( in fact so new I still live in London) but I'm planning on moving to a great coast line with consistent surf so I can surf whenever I get that sudden urge. I'm only 16 and ride both a long board and short board so any wave hight will do. Any suggestions???

I am in a similar position, coming close to the end of uni (at Swansea, south Wales which has pretty good surf) and I am thinking about where to live. The problem is that the best areas to surf, Cornwall and Devon don't have many job opportunities at all.

I want to check out the surf around Plymouth, there are lots of breaks on the south coast close to it.

Well, I live in Plymouth and took less well paying jobs because of it. I have a PhD in Physics and could have gone to London for the big bucks as a futures broker or something. Personally I think I made the right choice. I'm not badly paid, still have a career of sorts, and get a great quality of life here, (5 surf sessions in the last 7 days!). If you're only 16, finish school, get a trade or go to uni, every uni/college has a surf club so its not like you cannot learn and then think about moving. That may sound disappointing but I promise you, making a mess up early in life makes it really hard to get a decent job later on.
