UK noob

Postby Stubbins » Mon Jul 18, 2011 10:50 pm

Hi there!

Hope this doesn't come across as intrusve, but I'm total newbie to surfing and I am looking to start to learn this autumn/winter in Newquay.

This forum is very international, but I hope some of you may be able to help me out with advice on the best way to learn and get into things.

Thanks! :D

You should think about taking a lesson if your in newquay. There's loads of schools there, they will provide the equipment and this should give you some confidence too. Surfing is IMO 90% confidence and 10% skill. Then yo ucan think about getting urself a second hand board, big is better but if you take a lesson they'llbe able to point you in the righ direction.
