i know its been asked but im a lot bigger than the people who have asked.

So i surfed a little back in highschool a bit but havent for about 4 years. Recently i came across a 6'0" twin fin fish 21 1/2"x 2"

i go out about 3 times a week since im super busy with work and school, and working on paddling since i forgot how much work it was.
got duck dives back down and can paddle to the green with no problem. i guess my question is, is it feasible for me to get things going on a board this size? im 6'1" 180lbs. paddling and everything is super comfortable ive just been having trouble getting to my feet. any advice?

Their are a lot of things to factor in.
1. Your surfing ability
2. Does the board really float you well enough
3. Are the waves hollow, or big enough to get your board planning on top of the water
4. Time will tell
I guess if you give it a few sessions you should know. You might try to borrow another board a little bigger and thicker and see how you do on that. Good Luck!

EMT,
Welcome back to the water. Glad you have the stoke.
Some of us simply learned to surf late in life (45+).
Solution for trouble getting to your feet: Do the excercise called "Squat Thrust" in repetition daily for two weeks. It goes like this:

1.From a standing "parade rest" position, drop to a squat position with your hands on the ground near your feet.
2.Throw the feet back, putting yourself into a push up position.
3.Again pull the feet forward to a squat position with hands on the floor.
4.Stand again in a parade rest position.
5.Repeat many times.

thanks for the tips guys!
i've been out a couple times this week and it was fun. getting better slowly. i took a 6'7" thruster set up with thicker rails and was a bit easier. i use my indo board a lot and get down on that (180's, shove-its, etc all that jazz) and do a lot of core training at the gym (bosu ball squats, etc) i think what it initially was is that i was hesitating and doubting myself. usually before bed i do 20 straight pop-ups. i just wish i had more time out in the water. i miss being out there!
