Surfing Waves

So I wana learn surfing. Obviously Ima start with a long board. But don't know how big.im 5'7 and around 140 pnds what size should I get? I also need a good reliable online surfshop to get my board. I'm looking to spend around 500 bucks. What brand should I get? I wana get something sweet. And does anybody know any good learning spots at ocean city Maryland? Thanks for the help

Get a 9 foot longboard. Fiberglass. Not foam top.
