Did I make the right decision on my firstboard?

Hey everyone,
I'm new to surfing, and finally got my first board. It's a 7' long funboard.
this is the one I got in particular:
http://finelinesurfboards.com/funfish.html
I got the board because I'm pretty short/skinny (5'5" 90lbs. YES 90.) and my car is also pretty small (travel purposes) so after having done some research and looking at weight/height charts for boards I thought it would suit well. I also have other boarding experience skimboarding and skateboard. I also plan on going surfing regularly, maybe about 3 to 4 times a week throughout summer.
Did I make the right decision or should I have gotten a bigger board?
The more brutally honest your opinion/advice the better.
THANKS!!!

Me personally.. I think you did good. But I am also one of those guys that learned on a shortboard, fought through all the hard stuff, and progressed a little slower than those that jumped onto longboards first.
I think you'll do just fine on that. Looks thick enough to float well, and long enough to not be too crazy for you... Idk. I think you did good. That's my $0.02.

Go have some fun! Report back.

i think you should be just fine, im 5'11 175 and learnt on a 7'6 funboard and had no real issues, i think you should be just fine at your size and weight with a 7 footer.
enjoy mate

Board looks very nice and should be fine for the stats you have.
Good luck.
Enjoy the water.
Post a photo of you with the board in the water, if you can.

Well I went, the board is perfect for me, I got up, I can't turn yet cuz you know, I'm just starting, but I got up like on my 3rd try and quite a good number of times after that. I'm probably gonna go again Wednesday.
I do have some questions, I always seem to "pearl" is that what they call it? when the noses dives into the water and you wipe out...
I thought it was my position on the board but I seem to be all the way back, could it be that I'm standing up too late or wrong?

If you think you are far enough back on your board, you may just have to arch your back more when you're paddling for a wave. This will move your center of mass back, and hopefully keep you from pearling.

Awesome, thanks Unorthodox, that's what I thought was the problem, and it worked out.
