110% Surfing Techniques vol. 1 & 2 bro, both are some of the best/the only helpful learn to surf dvd's out there. You can find a torrent for vol. 1 somewhere on teh interwebs but vol. 2 you will have to buy i think only like $14.99. vol. 2 is great when you want to progress your surfing that little bit further, it goes more in-depth with moves like the cuttie and snap - so i've been told (havent seen vol. 2 but vol. 1 was excellent for when i was beginning)
Hope that helps

i can "third" the 110% surfing techniques DVD... but the waves are so mellow and tame in the beginning of the feature it makes me wonder why i didnt seek out a break like that when i was learning.

110% Surf Techniques - Vol 2. Brilliant. Been surfing for 18 months and catch a fair few waves, but then saw the tutorial on paddling for the wave - completely different to what i was doing in terms of technique. Tried the new technique out on the weekend and I have tripled my wave count - well stoked

Also, I came across these whiteboard tutorials elsewhere on this forum which are pucker - not a DVD i know but they really hit the mark:
Enjoy

Hi
Good thread, I've ordered the 110% DVD after looking at trailers online, looks good. The whiteboard tutorials are also excellent, there are a few more of them on YouTube and on the surf schools website, looks like a great place in Costa Rica, would love to go there as from the looks of their podcasts they really know how to make things simple. Bit of a long way from Tasmania though!

I want to get 110% surfing techniques DVD's, but a guy said in a review on Amazon.com that Volume 1 doesn't play in US DVD players, however volume 2 does. I want to make sure that they will play in my US DVD player/computer before I buy them. Has anyone in the US had a problem with this?
Thanks

A bit of a late reply but you can always search for your DVD player online (just google it) and look for the region unlock codes. It's not illegal or anything like that as far as i know so don't worry, not leading you down a dark dangerous road
