Surfing Waves

OK if we have these 3 diferent noob boards with similar volume.

1) 6´6´´ X 21 X 2 3/4 Byrne Mullet. An epoxy board thats huge since it has a wing swallow tail. (It is the shortestst of the 3 yet it has plenty of volume through out the board besides it has tha bouyancy of epoxy)

2) 6´10´´ 19´ 2 1/2 Regular shaped squatch tail with full rails.

3) 7´0´´20´ 2 3/4 funboard.

I want to understand if there would be much diference between these boards in the way they would handle, even though the volume would be similar between the 3?

In your opinionl which of these 3 would be a better choice for the Pacific beachbreaks in Mexico?

mate only one of those is a "noob" board. the 7' funboard is the only one worth trying to learn on. it would be much stabler compared to the other boards you talked about. the 6'6 sounds like a fish so would be very loose. which to a noob basically means wobbly. the 6'10 from what you said is an ordinary shortboard. twitchy for a begginner and therefore hard to learn on. sorry.

DITTO, no doubt as a learner board and these are my choices.... 7' wins!!! Hands down and both of the 6'ers listed are a a "hard road to travel" yes you could do it ,,, but why???? make one of the 6'ers my second board in a quiver,,,mabie. But for sure NOT my first or one to learn and get better on. Oh yea a 7' funboard is just as it's name says(got one and they are way worth it a valuable water weapon in my quiver and surf the crap outa it for fun or when a shorty,mal or log ain't doing it for me or conditions are calling for it. It is allso a great board to learn and make the jump to a short board. Yes they will have all the same approx value in foam volume equal only in boyancy ,the overall shape, tail,nose,rocker,rails,fins etc hold totaly different values and the fun board has those more of those as well as foam suited to the area and surf your talking about.
