cool new thing

when i was surfing the other day i started doing this thing i dont no if its a trick or anything and to be honest im not that botherd so it felt realy cool, when the wave was closeing out id head up towards the lip and when it broke id get pushed around and come back down anyway id just thought id share that bit of stoke cos i realy enjoyed doing it

i take it you jokeing cos theres no way it was a new move i just enjoyed doing it and think it was a new step in my surfing

Yeah, the lip breaking turned the board back down the face.
I try and do that on closeouts too - not a ripping turn, just a nice effortless reo type thing if you can time it right.
Did this once on a 12' face on a 9' heavy gun. Bottom turned, went straight up the face, got a vert with most of the board above the lip, which simply turned the board back down the face of the wave again as it broke !
Massive slapping noise when the gun slammed flat back down the face too (thought it had snapped but it hadn’t) !
One of my best moves yet.
Keep going for it but watch your bits cause the lip can sometimes slap the board into them !!
