Postby namino tsume » Thu Aug 12, 2004 11:19 pm

hey all,
im not a begginer surfer... ive been surfing for three years. but ive had this problem where after my session id have a rash on my stomach from lying on the board, even with a rash gaurd on. am i putting too much wax on? i usually put on two layers of surf wax, first layer being mrs. palmers which last a long time... the second being sex wax. thats too much wax right?

Im no expert, but it shouldn't really matter how much wax you use. Use enough so you won't slip off. It might be 1) your rash guard is too loose. It should fit really really snug, no slipage. 2) it may be too thin. I just got a nice rash guard that was like $45. Its Oneil, and its at least 3 times thicker than the really cheap ones. I have had no problems. Try that.

You obveously don't surf enough. If you surf enough then your stomack will pretty much turn into rhino skin (not exactly but) what I'm trying to say is that your skin after a while will get used to it and won't rash up. I haven't surfed in a while do to my job and if i go surfing like I used to I would get a rash every time for about 4 weeks.... after that i won't get a rash until I have to take another break.
