Basically I started surfing regular footed, he just asked what foot I kick a ball and just stuck with that.
But recently I went to cormwall and found out I am naturally goofy
I can use both, but as I am still new I'm not sure whether I should just stick with one or continue using both depending on the situation.
Cheers in advance

That depends on how good you were on the regular foot as apposed to goofy. I had a simular experience except i started out goofy and later on i switched. Not beacause i wasnt getting anywhere goofy i could ride green waves and do a few turns. But simply because in my mind i couldnt picture myself doing anything to the nature of a cutback/hack goofy.
My point being if you can do the same goofy or regular then practise both. But if one is definetly dominant then id lean towards sticking with the dominant stance.
I know someone who can ride both and never rides on their bakhand ever however if he does go one of his backhands he sucks

Pluss somepeople actually prefere their backhand or should i say surf amazingly on it. Occy jumps to mind to illastrate that point
Anothe rinstresting thing i have noticed -again i have to use myself as an example - is that i often in other sports switch my stance without me noticing e.g if in a fighting stance its 50/50 which stance i will go for however on a stability issue i favour one much mor ethan the other that being regular. - Try This. stand in a fighting stance and have a friend push you from the front then swith stance and repeat now work out which stance became the easiest to unbalance. Thats what really sinched the deal for me as one stance i was like a brick wall the other like puhing a paper wall down

(this isnt an exact science i just wanted to give you some idea's to try out not all of it will translate to surfing but it might help you with the descitions.)
Hope it helps
