all alone, where to go??

I`ve just tried to surf a few times, but I really want to learn! none of my friends want to come with me.
If anyone knows about a place I can travel to -alone, and meet nice people, and learn how to surf??
tell me!!

anywhere warm central america, HI, Bali, Mexico, south america, Morocco .....go, commit, and you will meet people.

west coast ireland... everyone looks out for each other here.. truly friendly surfers.. most places localism free. with the odd exception (but reckon you get small mindedness everywhere). pick a spot. paddle out to the line up and have a chat between sets. pubs and campsites buzzing at night.

San Diego has loads of surf camps and being by yourself shouldn't be a big deal

Yeah, we've got a surfing Finn living with us in San Diego.
