shredding...easy or impossible on this board?

shredding...easy or impossible on this board?

I currently have 2 boards and such a begginner well I can catch so many waves with my 6'6 funboard...21"width, 2 1/2 thick,round nose and swallow tail..well once i catch the wave i try leaning to catch the wave at a side and work it but always go straight and waist it...any tips...

don't understand fully what you're saying, but sounds like you need to put some power into your bottom turn which will give you some speed.

well i am saying what what do i need to do to turn my board and catch the wave at a side since i just go string like a begginner catching white water

just ride down the face, practice your bottom turn, once you get that sorted riding the face is simple

Start paddling in the direction you want to go on the wave instead of straight toward shore.. This makes it so you don't even need to bottom turn. By the time you stand up you are already going the direction you want to go.
