I don't think a question like this has been posted before but soz if it has.
I really want to start surfing but I live no where near the sea. I'm planning to make a few trips down to Newquay in the summer to start but I was wondering if anyone knew any exercises or something I could do to get ready and make it easier for me to start
Thanks!

press ups, snake press, swimming for sure. doing abdominal exercises won't hurt, and any cardio vascular exercise should be good too

Ya a skateboard would help alot. Downhill longboarding is great fun
Some basic yoga positions are really good too, also helps alot with flexability.
Dont bother with classes or anything just picked up some basic gidelines off the web. Def makes a difference
By the way whats a snake press?
