do you duck dive white water

i have managed to duck dive waves about to brake on my head but i carnt duck dive white water

I personaly dont because I cant (longboard) , but eevry shortboarder I see will duckdive significant whitewater, all down to technique which I cant help you wih either..

how else are you supposed to pass through a 6ft foamie on a big day

Just go deeper if you keep getting dragged. Practise

Yeah, duck diving white water can be pretty difficult becuase there is no face to duck into. The best thing to do is control your speed and direction to try and aim yourself at the section of whitewater which looks like its rising up to reform the most. If you do this then at least there is some face to duck dive under.
On big days this is'nt really possible and you just have to go as deep as you can. Getting under white water is a different technique cos you cant just sink the nose into the face.

i just dive more vertically getting much much deeper. Theres not really much more to it

Go deeper, and use one or even two feet to spring off the tail.
