need advice on board length

I'm 6'1'' and weigh about 210 llbs. and am considering buying a 9-foot Bic board. I've surfed a little, but I'm still very much a newcomer. Do you think this size board will work for my size, height? Are Bics any good in general? Thanks.

well the lenght should be fine if you plan on long boarding... id talk to the guys in the surfshop before you buy one just to make sure.

as to bic, i dont mean to bash them but i particularly dont like bic boards... they should of kept to pens. i read about them and from what i heard they arnt that great a board... there kinda "dead" under your feet. i have also felt them and they feel really poor quality. granted i never surfed one so i could be wrong, but thats how i feel and what ive been told.
