Florida..where to surf?

Postby guest » Wed Apr 28, 2004 7:15 pm

Hey, I'm going on vacation to florida in a few weeks, to Panama City Beach. I am wanting to learn to surf, maybe on my own. Does anyone know if Panama City Beach has big enough waves to surf? I've been there several times before but have never really surfed..body surfed before. Also, they have those white foam boards I guess they are called at walmart. Are these good to use? I will only be there for a week so I dont want to buy an expensive board and also would prefer not to rent but I may if i need to. Thanks to all who reply

just stay around beaches and listen to people and thenn if they go to that beach then follow them and it might be a great spot.

once i heard there was a great beach that i've never heard of that was close by, so this guy said he was gonna go there early in the morning around 5 or 6, so me and my friend had an ideaaa .......... we followed the guy home then slept in the car then woke up and followed the guy to the beach ;D had the worst night sleeping, but the greatest surf day ever!
