You will NEED TO always make corrections with your feet (pressuring the heel or toes, lifting up, pivoting, etc.) on every point on the wave. Especially after you get to your feet, making it down from the steepness of the drop, getting ready to bottom turn, all the angles have change. So does your feet placement, especially on a longboard ( which as a newbie, you should be learning on ). Being a GLUE FOOT not only looks bad but will lead to a lot of unnecessary arm swinging and upper body movement. Get comfortable moving your feet, it's a good thing.
Oh, one more thing............ Stop Looking at your Feet.
