Just keep swimming.

So I got a board to the head this morning - my mate laughed - was funny (and sore!). Just entertaining as you suggested.

Anyways I got 2 questions:

First question is, is a 7.6 board considered a long or short board?

Secondly, is it possible to duck-dive with it? As someone who's never done it before, looks very useful for getting over (uh, under!) some waves that want to beat me...

And my subject title just reminded me of my ex who got that tattoed on herself... oh pants!

Pictures and dimensions might be helpful. I've got a 7'5 that I can duck dive, but it's pretty skinny. And I weigh 200 pounds.

Assuming it's a rounded shape, 7'6 is a mini-mal (short for mini-malibu, ie a short longboard).

As for duck-diving - not really. You can do a kind of "duck dip" under a weak wave, but for a full duckdive you need to be able to sink a board and then physics gets in the way
Duckdiving is a distinct skill that you need to learn, and its not easy at first, so you'll be better off learning how to turtle roll (google it) at this stage.
