Hi Dunbar, welcome to the world of surfing. Lots to learn and it sounds like you're keen wanting to buy a board first off.
Good stuff, depending on where you are I invite you to hold off on buying the board a little while yet and rent for a couple of session first if that's possible,
Although the board sounds fine at first glance, things like shape and volume for flotation and then length will be important to you.As you are quite light you can certainly come down a little in length.
It is also important to understand the condition of the board you are buying as both epoxy and PU polyurethane boards will break down more quickly if their glass jobs or skin is broken.
If you have mates who are experienced surfers ask their advice too
My suggestion is read through a lot of the advice on offer here and pick the knowledge out of it. Then after the couple of rental goes you will have saved money and have more idea of what you need .
It's a beginning but a good one .
Go out and enjoy
