Just had a rubbish surf in good waves. Well, there were good waves out there but not exactly lined up. Looked like a few different swells with the best sets just shy of maxing out the banks. Got me thinking.... some days I go out and everything fits into place. Every turn is in the right spot. Plenty of power, plenty of speed. Take-off spot on even on waves I'm not sure are makeable. I come in thinking about giving up the day job and signing up for the QS for a year or so before hitting the CT and wiping that smug grin off that Slater fella's face.
Other days (like today), I get my footing all wrong on take offs, or trip over my leash, or make a bags of even straight forward turns. Anyone any tips on getting some consistency into my surfing?
Might be back on here tomorrow after a good surf telling pros how they can improve their floaters. In which case, ignore this thread.
