HELP: First Board!

Hey, I have been surfing for about 2 years on and off, using friends boards, and rentals. My friends board is a 7'4. I want to ride a short board (6'3-6'6), so my friend recommended a fish. I don't want to buy a new board because im only going to beat it up. I surf in Tofino, BC, don't know if you guys know, but its a great surf spot, but it can get fairly mushy. So i found a board online, its a Santa cruz epoxy swallow(6'4 x 20.5 x 2.5) going for $300. It looks like very good condition, and only one minor ding. I really want a second opinon before I go out and buy this thing. Thanks so much.
