buying this custom made 7'0 longboard (pics). advice?

Postby grassmornings » Wed May 26, 2010 3:24 pm

hello. finally i saw a board that I think is just right for me. it's 7'0 ft and 2 1/2 thickness. (not sure about the width). now here's my problem. it is custom made and the makers are just new into shaping. i haven't heard a testimonial about their work. please tell me what you think judging from what you see. of course it is another thing trying it in the water but im sure you guys can see good quality boards just by looking at it. here are the pics:

I don't think it is bad for begginers but if u never surfed before you should take some classes or rent a board first..

When you're reazonabli good at it by a 6'6 or something like that..

if youre 105 pounds yes. Would be fine. If youre over 125-140 then NO. You need 8'0 or longer. Preferably 9'0. the fin thing doesnt matter unless youre going to get on a plane with it. What kinda waves? What kinad shape are you in? COuch potato or olympic swimmer/yoga master?

Should be fine. Not the easiest to learn on but once you do get the hang of catching waves itll be easier to turn etc..
