Haha what happened this time bro? Don't leave us out, tell us the story. I haven't been cut seriously by my own board yet *knocks on wood,* but I did head my head fairly hard on my board or the sand, I'm not sure. Felt dizzy, so I went in lol.

always cover your head matey. I have a nice scar/fin burn on my arm that would of resulted in a seriously nasty face cut if i didnt religiously cover my face during a wipeout or any other form of episode. This should be applied to all walks of life not just in water.

"If in doubt cover up"

If you get it your head to cover your face then you do it instinctively and never have to think about doing it.

haha ummm ok
well, the waves were about 1- 2 feet inconsistant
it was really horrible. I was going for any type of wave i could catch
trying to do ollies on the flats and just fooling around
Then there was this like 2 footer.. close out.. I was pretty much in the impact zone, but i just paddled a bit towards the wave, then tried to catch it deep.. just fell
I was tumbling.. and i was thinking.. maybe i should cover my face.. but then i was like.. NAH its only 2 foot, what could happen.. then i felt the fins just dig into my lips :[
i popped out of the water. climbed back onto my board.. paddled out.. and asked my friends .. "am i bleeding?" which was obvious because i could see it dripping down
lol and then i got out.. went to the lifeguard.. got it cleaned, then had to go to the Er to get 2 stiches
yeah, i wish it was like TOH and i hit some rocks or something extreme. lol
