NorthEast Ireland lessons

Postby fiulara » Wed May 27, 2009 8:59 pm

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if any one (the irish lads generally) would know of anywhere for complete beginers to go in Antrim, Louth or Meath coastal areas. I tried surfing when I went to Delphi adventure cenre wih my school soooooo many years ago and got such a buzz, I've always promised myself that I'd give it a proper go but it just never seemed to be the right time. until now.

Eh, moving on from my life story. I basically need lessons and a place to rent gear. I live in Dundalk so Louth or south Antrim would be ideal, I just can't find any surfing schools around here.

Any Ideas AT ALL, would be great. I'm at a loss. Apart from going to Lahinch for a week, what can I do?

sligo/donegal any use? wouldn't bother with the east coast. doesn't get any swell and smells like a sewer. the lads in turf n surf are extremely helpful as is jaimie in westcoast surf school. if you are going to get serious about surfing you'll probably have to venture down this way eventually anyway. might as well start getting to know the place.

There are two surf schools in North Antrim, Troggs surf school and TK Surf School. They're up in Portrush, they could be the closest to you.
