having recently moved to the area, all I can say is it's flat flat flat! (sea and land!) There's some skate ramps and an area by hove beach for skaters. Don't know about longboarding down any hills though. It's not far from the south downs (hills just north of brighton, maybe 10mins in the car) but in Brighton itself I can't think of anywhere. maybe the road near the marina, down to the sea... that's a hill but probably quite dangerous!

I lived right near Brighton and there are no hills that I know of that'd be any good for longboarding, there are a few but most of them are in the centre and quite busy with traffic. There might be some down past the marina and the pitch n putt on the left, there are hills going away from the coast. At least the seafront is good for a cruise.

Brunswick Square, but you've got to stop before you hit the seafront traffic.

Try the pathways around Hove Park - great fun, and you can bail on to grass.

Some of the multi storey car parks are good, but the security guards will give you loads of aggro.

The ramps by gemini on the seafront are a good laugh for slalom, and the whole seafront is good for cruising along.

There's a skate park at the level too.
