If you do come over, just find yourself a good beer festival....and we'll see you when you wake up.

Monteith's Golden, brewed on the West Coast of the South Island of NZ. Lovely beer.

Not too keen on Speights, it's served cold, and is a bit like a week English bitter.

They do fantastic advertising for it though.

If anyone in the uk is keen to try Speights, there's a kiwi pub being shipped to the UK at the moment.

The new Steinlager Pure isn't too bad either.

Beer's my job :D I run a chain of pubs in NZ. Tough life 8)

IMHO you are not missing much from Australian beers. I drink imported beer here. It seems to be getting harder to find though as more and more of them seem to be being brewed under licence and it just aint the same. Becks, Heiniken, Stella etc all brewed here now.

I quite liked Steinlarger but man did it give me a headache in the morning if I had a few. Didnt mind Speights but have to agree that it was a little like weak tasting bitter.
