what made you guys start surfing?

i started cos i realy like the sea :) and i always thought it was fun

i surf because it is fun, and it is a good way for me to releive stress and get away. if something is bothering me i just go paddle out, even if there arent any waves the ocean calms me down.

i started surfing cuz i always loved water, when i was a baby and couldnt swim i would walk out of my head and prolly would of drowned had my mom not been there :D . and well one day i thought it would be cool to surf. so i did

i still surf cuz its fun and for the what ^ he said.

I jst like the feeling of being on top of a wave.
Being a body boarder most mi life i am always infront of the surf rarely was i on top!!
So now i hav started surfing being on top of the wave is the most awsome feeling ever!!

Mebbe that whole "in the blood" thing ish true. I started because it was like I was drawn to the ocean. I love the ocean, and I love being in it and just workin' with it. It's so powerful!

yeah the ocean is rad, i love the sea life. my favorite thing about surfing is when the waves are bigggg and you havta paddle to get over and then the sprinkles of water when you go down the back side of the waveeeeeee woo hooooo love it

thats awsome, except when you paddle for the wave and that happens and it blinds you.....

I love surfing because its like a challenge solely between you and the sea...and the reward is so satisfying! getting barrelled is the best feeling in the world...

I think more people are trying to surf now because its "in" or "fashionable" right now, then they like it, but not really for the same reasons. I think more people like it because they think it looks cool. Thats kinda the thing about longboarders, they don't care about tricks or anything its just between them and the wave. But yea, I was born in so cal, my parents surf, my freinds surf, my dads freinds surf... I surf beacuse I love it, and it just kinda feels natural for me... any one gettin this?

well it doesn't even blind me, its not like a wall of water thats in my way, its just the ocean sprayyyyyyyy
