Phil, I am sorry that you cant go but I remember last time in the line up you were telling me how you had been surfing every day that week and had surfed for 7 hrs the day before and what a great life student life is

kitey, how much did you say was the plane trip was?
ok, doesn't really matter, the trip cost 1600, this is cheaper than any place in california, but costa rica has better waves, better weather, better surfing conditions, so why are there so many freeking people in california?

i couldnt aford it mate, i didnt take alot of things into consideration, i needed to buy a new backpack, then there was meds and decent first aid kit, then travel insurance, then flights worked out £100 more than i expected and car hire seemed a little more than i thought and when i realisticly added it all up i would have ended up coming home in to much debt and being a student wouldnt have been the wisest move.

im still going out there. just going to do it after i finish my degree and stay for at least 3 months instead
