I woke up, got online this moring only to find out that Don Ho died yesterday (Saturday)morning, heart failure, he was 76. He brought Hawaiian music to the mainland and made it popular throughout the USA. Famous for his song Tiny Bubbles/Pearly Shells. He was a performer to the end, his last performance was Thursday night.

On another note, here in Orange County we have a 99 year-old ukelele player who is still performing and hopes to release three more albums by the time he is 104. He also gives uke lessons.

She was pretty big with the tween (10-12 year olds) for a brief while. Most of the obits I have read said that she would occassionaly perform with her dad in his shows on Oahu.
