i was just wondering if its true that there is no drinking age limit in england and is it true that pot is a minor crime like jaywalking? and what do europeans think of americans and bush?
i was also wondering if its hard to move there and be legal to work, i was thinking of moving there, i have an aunt there, but its mostly just a fantasy.

hullo. you can drink in a pub at 18 i think, but you can drink in your own home, with your parents permission, from i think about 3 years old or something. 18's more about buying alcohol. i dont know how bad jaywalking is so i cant really comment but a lot of people smoke pot round my school...tut tut..

i think english kinda have the same view on bush with the badges sayng " dont do it george dadll still love you" and such. but that prolly isnt everyone so there will be people who think other things.

ive never tried to move here myself so i dont know.

Britain is the probably the easiest country to move to there are like loads of imagrents every where as long as you have a skill that we need come over man. Smoking pot is a minor crime most people turn a blind eye even if its blatant. And drinking starts when your like 13 when you reach 30 your liver fails so you go on a huge operation waiting list because we have a sh*t health service. And every one over here pretty much hates george bush and tony blair. But really Britain is actually a really good place to live if you find the right place.

man i wish it was 18 or whatever here. here its 21. and atleast in hawaii everyone hates bush, but were a mostly liberal state. i dont think people care so much about pot but if the police catch you then youre going away for a semester or two.once stopped at the side of the road to check the surf and there was these guys smoking right infront og these tourists looking at the ocean. then i said "smells good" and he goes "TAKE A HIT!!!"

so yeah i guess its not bad here either just not if you get caught.

Not exactly. It is illegal for licenced premises (ie pubs and off-licences) to sell alcohol to under 18's or to sell it to someone for under 18's to consume on licenced premises, however it is legal for 16 or 17 year olds to consume beer, wine or cider (not spirits) in a restaurant etc if accompanied by a person over 18.

It is legal for parents to give a child over the age of 5 beer, wine or cider in moderation.

and is it true that pot is a minor crime like jaywalking?

Well jaywalking isn't a crime, but possession for personal use is liable to simply result in confiscation rather than arrest since it was downgraded to Class C unless you're smoking it near children.

As to whether jaywalking is a minor crime in the US or not, consider this:

and what do europeans think of americans and bush?

Let's just not go there, ok?!
