As you can gather from the subject title i am buying a shortboard soon (me and my friend both). We are looking at rusty boards, in general are rusty good boards? and what is poxy (probably spelling it wrong) the guy said they were made of poxy is that also a good choice to have a board made out of?

Epoxi resin. That's what bics, nsp's, sirftechs are made of. Heavy and sturdy.

If you surf well now and want a shortboard you probably want a fiberglass one.

Dont know about rusty, but dont see many serious surfers with them around here. Maybe they are just expensive here in Brazil.

Rusty Preisendorfer (think I spelt the last part right) is considered one of the best shapers around world wide and also one of the most innovative, check out their C-5 fin technology. Sadly in this world you tend to get what you pay for and in general I have found ''brand'' boards to ride better and last longer than others. Hope this helps.
