the question is do you think it should be allowed?

I think they should be allowed
first of all:
What do you care???
does it matter that much to you if gay people are married or not? They still do the same things.

Marriage meens alot to some people including the gay community. It also gives benefits (if one dies the other one can keep the house, etc...)

It will not change your life dramatically while it will change some others in a GOOD way.
I really dont get why people will not allow it. If they are disturbed by it they will probably not see it happen anyways.

I don't have a problem with gay anything.. Marriage, public displays of affection etc..

actually i stole that of a tshirt, i couldnt give a monkeys either way, although i dont really understand why they would want to get married cos to me marriage is about religion and procreation, and as gay couples arent accepted by most religions, and cant procreate, i dont see the point.

that's the 'original' idea, but these days "marriage" is a different concept to everyone....for me it's nothing to do with religion, cos i'm not religious in the slightest bit, but marriage for me would be about standing up in front of all my friends and family and stating my committment to just one person who i love and want to spend the rest of my life with.

I have no problem with people of the same sex getting married, what i do object to is gay couples who adopt, have they not given up the right to have kids. These kids have come from a broken family, which is very traumatic. Then some middle class do gooder, who is most probly a lesbian hands these kids over to two guys who like to stick there cocks up each others arse

i have no problem with homosexual marraige at all - live and let live. I am not religous and dont have a a desire to have children (not yet anyway) but doesnt mean I dont want to get married. Like DBBB it would be a quick beach ceremony with as little fuss as possible so it was about the unity of 2 people that love and respect eachother and want to spend the rest of their lives together, rather than the dress and flowers and all the other rubbish that goes with it.

As for the adoption point the child may have come from a traumatic situation but sticking them with a hetrosexual couple doesnt promise a healthy home life from then on.
In some cases same sex couples may be prefered, for example, if the child had been treated badly by a female adult they may prefer not to be looked after by another female and the best solution may be for 2 men to look after them instead.
