shredded wheat is great for weight loss - oats too.

i've found a gorgeous rye bread (you have to toast it though) to have as a snack or at lunch (i like it with boiled/scrambled egg) - you only need 1 slice as it's MEGA filling - tastes good too. they sell it in holland & barrett in a clear packet with blue stripes on the front.

it's been 15 days without any chocolate. i think i'm getting serious withdrawal problems.

i've been going to the gym 5 days a week, doing about 2 hrs most days, eating a lot less and making sure it's all 100% healthy and I've only lost 2 pounds... i'm gutted  Still, i keep telling myself all that muscle weighs a lot!

how are you doing with the alcohol jo?

and if you can wait a few years..... (!) i saw this article this morning:

Chewing Gum May Fight Obesity Monday January 15, 07:02 AM

An appetite-suppressing chewing gum could be the key to Britain's obesity epidemic. Scientists are developing a drug based on a natural gut hormone that mimics the body's 'feeling full' response.

An injectable treatment similar to diabetic insulin jabs could be available in five to eight years, but scientists' long-term goal is to produce a form of the drug that can be absorbed in the mouth.

This would then allow it to be put in a chewing gum or incorporated into a nasal spray.

Early tests have shown moderate doses of the hormone, pancreatic polypeptide (PP), can reduce the amount of food eaten by healthy volunteers by 15% to 20%.

Mice given the drug have lost 15% of their body weight in one week.
