A van that can tow but isn't massive?

I will need a bigger vehicle to tow with.

Thought I might as well get a van so I have something to get changed in a sleep in. Something small would be best as this will be my only vehicle.

Completely unrelated I'm also getting a caravan so I need something big that can tow the caravan (probably about 1200kg).

I couldn't find anywhere appropriate to ask about vans so I thought you guys with your surf vans might have an idea.

Forget about a camper van....

If you wanna tow the you're looking at an engine above 2 litres, so you'll need a 'real' van like a VW T4 or transit.

I got a T4 Caravelle 2.4Diesel, the seats fold down to make a bed, ideal if your prepared to rough it for a couple of nights, and would easily tow almost anything.

dont bother with transits if youre gonna be towing anything with real weight cos their crap. dont forget whatever you are towing with needs to be able to tow the max laden weight of the trailer..

i.e my horsebox is about 1tonne unloaded, but fully loaded with 2 horses, tack, hay etc it'll be closer to 3tonnes, so my range rover needs to be able to tow that (which it can, and does!) or you'll be braking the law.
