drunken "scrabble" problem!

Postby thaya » Thu Dec 28, 2006 11:14 pm

I've been playing a drunken game of scrabble with extra points for certain topics  (enough said) but we don't have a dictionary and have a problem. I think jewellery is spelt like that but my friend thinks it's spelt like jewelry. anyone know who is right? is it an american-english thing or is one of us totally wrong?

PS i'm winning by 50 points!!!
PPS no i don't normally spend my evenings playing scrabble

so.... should we allow it then? jewelry jsut loooks all wrong... but then we are all drunk so maybe it just looks wrong when it's not. i don't think american spellings should be allowed :? i can't believe we're even having this debate! mad mad mad

thanks!
