top 10 excuses

Postby thaya » Wed Nov 29, 2006 10:08 am

ok, so I've heard loads of excuses for being late, forgetting homework etc but I'd never heard "my dog pissed on my memory stick and it now it wont work so I can't print out my homework" until today!.

have you heard or used any good excuses for things?

I've been caught napping a few times and pretended I was deep in meditation and that it helped me become calmer and more alert :blah:
but it doesn't really work if you've been drooling

I was once seriously hung over after a mid week club, and in no fit state to drive to work. So instead of the normal snifle, cough i'm ill routine i came up with the following.

I'm going to be late in today as some hooligans have let all my tyres down so i'm going to have to remove them all one by one and roll them down the garage to blow them up.
I arrived in work four hours late after a few more hours sleep. I even went to the trouble of getting dirt and grease on my hands to back up my excuse.

LOL!!!

oh and thaya, just incase you dont know, memory sticks do not have power running through them when they are not plugged into a computer. So they cannot be damaged as long as they let it dry before plugging it in. Mine has gone through the wash 3 times now. Still works fine.

Computer is too dang slow. :(
Gradebook program wouldn't give me the grades I wanted. (Happened to me today, so my grades were almost an hour late to be turned in.)
My car kept turning off every time I stopped at a light, and I had to keep restarting it. (this is actually true with my new car, hybrid, so the engine turns of whenever I am stopped for more than a couple of seconds).
Printer ran out of ink/ wouldn't work (even though I have multiple printers at home).
I fell asleep editing my paper. (This is great if you have little keyboard marks on the side of your face.)

My brother in law lives in Savannah, Georgia. After one drunken night out he couldn't remember where he had left his car. He searched and searched but to no avail. He reported it to the police who laughed, but they eventually found it a week later.

That must have been one hell of a night out. :P :P

Yep - with the batman on this one. Solid state memory won't get ruined by a bit of piss.

Ask him for the memory stick so you can try and help him fix it, all nice-like.

I bet it'd be pretty nasty though...

I told someone yesterday that I had to clean my garage... :?

they didn't like that one, but I actually had to....and then I did a cloth inlay on a skateboard and filled in some foam gaps on my board so I can glass. 8)

I actually have room to walk in there now...I might actually be able to shape.

Ok.. i'm confused... Northswell.. wot has losing ur virginity @ 16 got to do with Top Ten Escuses?!

when my tutor goes to me "why are you late?!" i tend to go... "why a you late?! " and then she gets confused and goes "im not late you are" and i say "well ur here and i'm here and it's currently the same time for both of us so technically either we're both late or we're both not late..." and then she jst shouts at me! lol it's quite amusing cuz she sounds like a man =]

Or... "why are you late?" .... "Personal Problems miss" and then she can't ask what so i'm off the hook! =]
