Yeah, mavericks is a perfect spot to try out your new shortboard, just don't wear a wetsuit, or you'll look like a kook! :thumbs:

Hi im new to surfing, my dad tried to teach me once but he's a total loser who can't surf and thinks he's funny. I thought i'd get a shortboard as there best to learn on.

Oh if anyones seen or heard from my dad i'd love to hear from him as mom's gone back to russia and i need my pocket money. He drives a robin reliant and has joined the TA as the navy said he wasn't upto the job and rejected him cause he's got a really hairy back...

Please tell him im looking for him.
