Well, I took out my dad's camera and decided to give a go at shooting a cool looking pic. The subject is random but i like it.
comments and mostly suggestions are really welcome. Remember this is my first picture.
I will get surfing pictures and have them ready after new year.

I like the pic, but you could maybe focus more on the ash tray instead of the table

Looks like one of those photos where you accidentally drop the camera and it takes a photo.............sorry!

If you're serious about photography, you should do a course.............and then you can really get away with photos like that

Sorry to say this mate but your picture is plain shite.
A little tip i learned is use the rule of 3rds, so if your main focus was say a horse-dont have the horse in the centre of the photo have it in 1 corner either top or bottom depending on how the sky looks or if the green of the field will stand out.
Also use lines as the eye will natrualy follow them so if your takeing a picture of a use the line of the fence or a hedge to lead upto the horse.

This explantion is pretty cack as i snuck in a cheeky burn pre work

... what ?!! .. you both passing each other a cheeky and left me out ... " spliff politics ..i missed the pass

..and Gdude .. in no way take our personal opinions as a diss on your keeness to take photos , its just that i and many others are bombarded with images from friends etc and its always better to get an honest sharp response than us all kissing your butt to make you feel better and then you Not progress at all 8)

Your getting some usefull feedback up above so stick at it mate and maybe ask BrownDogWilson for a few tips , he's in the game proffessionally so i'd hit him up for a few pointers  but keep on dude .. you'll start snapping the quality shots soon enough and if not ..im sure i can find some work for you

ignore the "rule of thirds"

rules assigned to art is like punching someone you love in the face. just makes no sence.

converting it to black and white would help as well for an artsy look, and increasing contrast, if you dont have the program do do that, a longer exposure will get a bit more contrast.
