My Mum woke me up to tell me that. Very sad news .

Thing is, with what he used to get up to, I always thought that if he was gonne die, it'd be by getting chomped by a croc.

Gotta feel for his wife - seems the whole world knows before she does.

aah man.
What a shame.

The only thing that could bring light to this situation is that his life was a happy one. He did what he wanted, and he loved it.

" not the best way for my lil'man to start a new term at skool :( .. he was gutted this morning as the news was read out i heard him holler ... " Daaaaad in that horrible scared child way .. i came pounding downstairs to find him pretending like the news couldnt rock a tuff 10yr olds world but i could see it had bless him ...

The guy was a complete nutter and we were all waiting for it one day ..and yes even in a dark lil' way wanting him to get a small chomp for being so bloody stoopid but at the end of the day he was a diamond geezer that wanted to share his passion for animals with the world and to teach us not to be afraid of the stereotypes we have grown up with surrounding many of the animals he played with !

Bless ya Stevo ya complete loon and in your own words ... " Crikey that fella got a bit close that time "

RIP the Real Crocodile Dundee 8) :( 8)

i wouldnt say he was stupid, i have a little experience of reptiles and would say he knew reptiles (at least crocodiles) probably better than pretty much anyone else on the planet, hence why he never got eaten by one, and was in the end killed by a fish (a fish which is not particularly dangerous normally).
At least his enthusiasm for the less cuddly inhabitants of our planet has been heavily recorded to hopefully inspire future generations into preserving them as much as he did many of the current generation.
