Just thought i'd have a little brag about what a f*****g awsome week i've just had. Been up in the Hebrides in Scotland on a 68ft yacht cruising around collecting data on marine mammals, sharks and seabirds with a crazy and brilliant group of volunteers, scietists and crew. Saw about 10 basking sharks, probably 50 harbour porpoises, a breaching orca whale  and a beast of a minke whale on a mission. Dropped anchor every night in some of the most remote and beautiful parts of Scotland around Canna, Ulva, Colonsay, Gunna and some other beautiful and remote islands and drank wine and listened to the skipper and first mate tell us crazy stories about some of their adventures (both serious hardcore outdoor guys) and some times go ashore to little islands to watch the sun go down. Sucks to be back :D

Yeh it was amazing, really, really REALLY amazing. The group of people onboard just clicked and worked really well.

Even though it was volunteer work it was still pretty expensive, as most marine mammal work is, but it was my 21st present and a fantastic experiece.

Unfortunatley now sailing is now on my list of things to learn.
