Doggie dudes have taken to the waves in the world's first ever canine surfing championships.

The Doggie Surfing Competition took place at the Coronado Dog Beach in California - where else?

I hate to say this about the state I live in, but that's one of the reasons they call California "the land of fruits and nuts".

Though there is actually a lot fruit grown hear as well as almonds and other nuts.

ha, reminds me of that lost video where they got their dog to drop in on kelly slater. funny.

We even have sections of beach reserved as "dog beaches".
I don't see dog surfing as a babe magnet, as I think many women with their "poochie purses" would take thier dogs with them anywhere in thier purse.

ya lots of sectioned dog beaches i never surf near them seeing dog poop float by isnt my idea of fun.
