Surfing Waves

Tis my birthday in a couple of weeks, and my mate has sorted out my 'party'. Were gonna go jetski-ing in the afternoon, followed by a drinks in town and apparently a drunken bowling session

Anyway... never been on a jetski before, anyone got any pointers, would rather not fall off the thing at god knows what speed and ending up looking like a twat.

Are they jet-skis or jet bikes?

Jet-bikes - piece of cake! Sit on 'em, open throttle, thrash around causing trouble and trying to jump over other peoples wakes!

Jet-skis - thrash around behind it as it zooms off, trying to get on the damn thing and stand up getting nowhere as your sexual organs get pummelled by the jet of water, eventually stand up, fly off in a straight line, then skip gently across the water like a pebble when you realise theres no way off stopping yourself falling off once you begin to go

Errr... whats the difference

Sexual organ wise... mine dont hang that low so shouldnt be a problem

Might have been easier to do this first... Jersey Sea Sports... thats the company were gonna use

I think usually they're all called jet-skis, but jet-bikes you sit on, and jet-skis you stand on (and are much smaller and more difficult!)

But looks like your on the bikes! They look fun!

And you only have to sit on 'em, not stand which'll make it so much easier

The only 'difficult' thing with them is if you're a motorcyclist - if you countersteer a jet-ski it just goes the wrong way!

If you lean into a turn and move your butt to the side of the seat, it will turn better and quicker. Like drowningbitbybit said dont countersteer, i did and wiped out in a spectacular style.
But jetbikes are load's of fun ..

See now theres a few of us going (cos its during the day most cant get the time off work so are only gonna come out in the evening) and seeing someone wipe out could be quite funny...
