A question for the ladies

Postby Bwgan » Mon Jul 31, 2006 4:15 pm

Laydies

Its my womans 30th this year and I am going to surprise her with a snowboarding trip somewhere, not sure yet, location suggestions would be fab. Nothing too outrageous as plastic fantastic stretches quite a way but not too far!

However, I want to give her a few snowboarding bits first to open and then when shes totally confused give her the brochure/tickets.

Hopefully your still following me.

I would like to know if any of you ladies go snowboarding and if so do you wear goggles? If so what make/model are the the internet isn't particularly good at finding womens goggles.

Thank you so much

That is such a nice birthday present....any lads reading this take notes!

I have been snowboarding a couple of times in Meribel and Morzine/ Les Gets/ Avoriaz in the French Alps and they were all really good resorts to go to...theres a big snowboading scene at Meribel but i would say Avoriaz is probably more suited to couples...its a really nice quite small resort, high up on the mountain...quite romantic!

Well thats my opinion anyways have a look and see what ya think....

As for goggles I have a crappy pair of hand me downs from my brother but i have seen some really nice Roxy ones....they are probably going to be expensive though

Anyways i hope that helps and you guys have a good time

....and same as libby, if it all goes down the pan... take me instead!

If you're just starting out then Meribel or Tignes is your best bet mate - loads of big wide runs that are good for learning on... and there's a great boardpark on the glacier in Tignes if you're feeling up to it... ;-)
