Surfing Waves

Heres the thing, i download alot of music off limewire but of course the thing with limewire is that you dont always know what you are down loading and because of this i seem to have aquired quite a few porn files...
I know I know im setting mysef up for so many jokes and one liners but i really need help getting them off my computer!

Basically when i open up windows media player in the video section there are just loads and loads of videos that say AAAAAAAAAAAAA Free Porn. There must be a few hundred on there from years of limewire abuse. Anyways i have tried deleting them but it says the file is protected and cannot delete it off the play list or my computer. I have tried deleting them manually by tracking the file but it says the same thing...and im not sure how else i can get them off. I have scanned my computer for viruses and nothing comes up so i cant delete them that way...

Does anyone know how i can delete them? Quite a few of you know your stuff about computers and things so i thought someone might be able to help me. Plus im sure someone on here has had experience with deleting porn files!

I assume its a file becuase thats what most things are... too be honest i know sweet fleshin' all about computers so it could be something completely different...

Have you tried changing the preferences in the file? As in changing it from Read only (or protected...) to full access?

I was just pretending not to know what porn was

Jen, na i havent tried that, how would you change the preference i will try and give it a go now.

Na im not looking at it, it wont even let me open the file (apparently i need a liscence or something that i need to buy off Mr DodgeyPornDealer in Russia)

So infact its not Free Porn at all....false advertising

changing it... if youre running Windows, right click on the file, go into preferences and see what it is listed as (read only etc...). If its on read only try changing it to an open file, and then try deleting it.

Havent got a PC here anymore so am doing it from memory. Pretty sure theres gotta be someone here who would know though

Jennie-Why dont you back up all the stuff you need and completely wipe the disk

Jen there isnt a preference option, all there is a properties option which tells me about the liscence and the file content...thanks for your help though.

Pat its not on a disk, it was downloaded straight onto my computer into a shared file...was that what you meant?

Naaah....I meant to wipe the hard disk completely and reinstall the system........But if you've got loads of stuff on your computer, this probably wont be an option.

hmmm i would have no idea how to do that, theres a butt load of work on here that i need and knowing me i would wipe the whole thing.

Its safe to say im pretty useless when it comes to computers i end up breaking most of them one way or another. Broke my dads brand new apple lap top by emptying a frube onto the keyboard, he was not impressed one bit

dont use limewire, its known for that sort of stuff (and lots of nasty spyware that can really ruin your day).
I use soulseek, its spyware free, and ive never come across a fake file on it.

I've come across fake files on soulseek, but I was searching for porn.

You can avoid the porn on Limewire by not clicking on the top few files on the list......I think.
I dont seem to have downloaded any porn.

I'm just gonna have a look at soulseek

soulseek is music only, but has lots of cool features like being able to enter you music tastes and search for similar users to browse their collections, also most of the regular users have their collection sorted by album so its easy to download a whole album by downloading a whole folder. And theres hundreds of chatrooms where you can find fans of particular music and just search in one room (much wuicker to find what your looking for).

Of course i only use it for downloading license free music not copyrighted stuff

I tried to fit the whole frube in my mouth at once and it was just too much, but i did it so quick it burst out of my mouth onto the keyboard went all in between the keys...i tried to clean it off but ended up picking the keys off to get underneath them...

I learnt a very important lesson that day...i cannot fit all the yogurt of a frube in my mouth

I havent got a clue what a Frube is, but I would imagine it to be something sweet, sticky, pink and no good for Macs. (And doesnt fit into Jennies mouth:D )

I saw one of those home video shows where this sweet little girl is washing daddies laptop in the sink

havent washed one yet but its probably only a matter of time before something like that becomes a good idea...

A frube is like yogurt but in a tube, they are pretty pointless but have quite a big novelty factor...its just so you can sqeeze it into your mouth, not all at once though!
